Why not take part in some
cultural activities when you visit the region?
Depending on the season when you visit, there'll always be a
choice of things to do. In the winter season, check
out any of the winter festivals in Iwappara and Yuzawa Town
- usually complete with firework displays and torchlit
skiing. The main Yuzawa Snow Festival is usually held
at the beginning of March (information can be found on the
main Yuzawa
Town website). Out of the winter season once the
snow has melted, why not try an onsen hot spring tour of
the area or some pottery making in the beautiful
surroundings of Daigenta Canyon.
